The PFB Music Fund

SUPPORT FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS

We have funds to help the next generation make music

We believe that no young person should miss out on the joy of making music simply because of cost or circumstance.

That’s why Pill Festival Band has launched a sponsorship initiative to help and fund individuals and groups in Pill and North Somerset get started with music.

OUR FUNDING

What we can offer

Every application is considered individually and on its own merits. Support may include:

  • Funding instrument lessons for individuals
  • Assistance with instrument rental
  • Promoting orchestras or bands in local schools
  • Subsidising a “try an instrument” event
  • Donating starter instruments such as recorders to bona fide groups
  • Sponsoring a local community group in exchange for mutual publicity
OUR PURPOSE

Why we do this

Music in schools is disappearing or they’re struggling to deliver it effectively or inclusively.

We are acutely aware that fewer and fewer schools are giving children the opportunity to learn an instrument. Pill Festival Band wants to help change that – even in a small way – for children and young people in our local area.
